You cautiously walk beneath the archway engraved with the word "Abandoned". Instead of emerging into another stone chamber, you come instead to a small clearing nested inbetween the mountains that make up the caves. The sides of the clearing are the gently sloping sides of the nearby mountains, and the ground beneath your feet is rich soil that teems with a variety of thick grasses and other green plants. Built into the sides of the clearing are large wooden nests, lined with fluffy pillows and just about the right size for a Schattarnek dragon to sleep in. As you are inspecting these beds, something rustles behind you. An unbelievably strange creature ambles slowly into view. It looks like some sort of bizarre cross between a watermelon and a ... well, you don't know what else. It stares at you, looking friendly enough. After a moment, you realize it's exactly what you think it is - a watermelon fruit-chimera, one of the weird dragon-fruit hybrids that Kilara mentioned her sister Kaere is working on. "Hhhelllooo," it says very slowly. "My name is Lanatus. This is where the abandoned Schattarneki dragons are housed until they can be bonded or adopted again. Kilara and I take care of them." Its broad, thick tail moves in a very, VERY slow wag. "Please fill out the form if you would like to give one of these dragons a new home." There are no abandoned Schattarneki dragons at this time!
